Introducing New ISRA Grassroots Groups!

Getting CCW in Illinois was not the end of the road, but a new beginning.

The anti-gunners are planning right now how to restrict what and where you can carry, with a renewed emphasis on local regulations.

ISRA members need to remain vigilant and need the opportunity to meet with their peers for strategy, information sharing and camaraderie!

To meet these needs, ISRA Grassroots groups are forming around the state, starting with three groups in the Chicago metro area in May. Meetings are intended to be held monthly and will start at 7:00 pm on a weeknight, and are scheduled for one hour.

What can you expect at an ISRA Grassroots meeting?

You would find items of interest in your area, with guest speakers, legislative updates, open discussion and more. While the initial roll-out of the meetings might be similar, expect the grassroots group in your area to evolve to be more meaningful to the people in attendance.

The first three meetings are in:

Deerfield
Wednesday May 13 7:00pm
Deerfield Italian Kitchen
648 Deerfield Rd, Deerfield, IL
RSVP Deerfield - Click Here

Hazel Crest
Thursday May 14 7:00pm
American Legion Post 398
17034 Page Ave, Hazel Crest, IL
RSVP Hazel Crest - Click Here

Bloomindale/Roselle/Schaumburg
Wednesday May 20 7:00pm
Tony Spavone's Ristorante
266 W Lake St, Bloomingdale, IL
RSVP Bloomingdale - Click Here

There is no charge to attend, but because these meeting places have limited space and demand to attend is expected to be high due to the influx of anti-gun legislation in Springfield, members are asked to RSVP to indicate that they will attend, so that we don't overwhelm the hospitality of our hosts.

If you are in one of the three areas listed above, please try to attend the initial meeting.

Please do not contact the locations above about the meeting.

Please RSVP on-line or for more info send email to "grassroots@isra.org".

If your area is not listed here in this month's roll-out, don't despair!

More locations are being added, with meetings expected soon in Chicago: Pilsen/Little Village, Gresham, Brickyard and in suburban locations close to the city. Around the state, be prepared for meetings in Moultrie, Willamson and Jackson Counties with other locations soon!
