CHATSWORTH, IL - - The following was released today by the Illinois State Rifle Association (ISRA):

The ISRA is pleased to announce that its summer Glock League Competition will kick off on Sunday, June 28, 2015. This extremely popular shooting event is a great way to test shooting skills while networking with other Glock owners.

Sanctioned by the Glock Shooting Sport Foundation (GSSF), the ISRA Glock League meets monthly for three matches during the summer at the ISRA's range located in Bonfield, Illinois. The first match of the season is open to any qualified person using a Glock pistol. The final two matches of the season are open strictly to members of the GSSF. Membership applications for the GSSF will be available at the match.

The challenging course of fire sets targets at 12, 25, 50 and 75 feet. A total of 50 rounds are fired by each participant. Shooters are divided into 3 classes based on total score with prizes awarded in each class.

Participant fees begin at $20 per match with additional fees charged to participants who wish to shoot more than one pistol. Participants are expected to be at the range at 8:30 AM for registration after which they receive a safety briefing delivered by qualified range officers. The first squad of shooters goes off at 9:00 AM sharp.

The second and third matches of the summer will be held on Sunday, July 26 and Sunday, August 30, respectively.

The ISRA range is located in Bonfield, Illinois on Warner Bridge Road midway between Illinois Routes 113 and 17. Further information on the Glock League may be obtained by visiting the ISRA web site, http://www.isra.org or by calling the ISRA Headquarters at (815) 635-3198.
