URGENT ALERT - May 24, 2016
Efforts To Shut Down All Gun Shops Is Still Alive In The Legislature

URGENT ALERT - YOUR ACTION REQUIRED EFFORTS TO SHUT DOWN ALL GUN SHOPS IS STILL ALIVE IN THE LEGISLATURE

CALL YOUR STATE REPRESENTATIVE TODAY

The gun-grabbers have amended HB1016 for the THIRD time in hopes of fooling legislators into believing that the bill is good for Illinois.

THE FACT OF THE MATTER IS - HB1016 IS BAD FOR ILLINOIS, BAD FOR GUN OWNERS, BAD FOR YOU

If signed into law, HB1016 would do the following:

  • Add at least $100 to $200 to the retail cost of your favorite firearm

  • Double the price you pay for ammunition and firearm accessories

  • Register your guns with the state police

  • Prohibit you from purchasing or selling more than 8 firearms per year - total

  • Make it financially infeasible for your favorite gun shop to stay in business

DOES THAT SOUND LIKE "RESPECT FOR THE 2ND AMENDMENT" TO YOU?

In recent days, the anti-gunners have been running around saying that HB1016 "respects and protects" the 2nd Amendment. Don't be fooled by the anti-gun lies. HB1016 would be a devastating blow to private firearm ownership here in Illinois.

HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO SAVE YOUR GUN RIGHTS:

  1. Beginning today, start calling Senator Don Harmon's offices at (217) 782-8176 and (708) 848-2002 and politely tell the person who answers the phone that you are a law-abiding firearm owner and that you are steadfastly opposed to Sen. Harmon's Firearm Dealer Licensing bill.

  2. Beginning today, start calling Representative Kathleen Willis' offices at (217) 782-3374 and (708) 562-6970 and politely tell the person who answers the phone that you are a law-abiding firearm owner and that you are steadfastly opposed to Rep. Willis' Firearm Dealer Licensing bill.

  3. Contact your own State Senator and your State Representative, today, and politely tell them that you are a law abiding firearm owner who is opposed to state licensing of firearm retailers and that you would like your State Senator and State Representative to vote against any bills that would license firearm retailers.

  4. Pass this alert on to all of your gun owning friends and family and tell them to make calls as well.

  5. Please post this alert to any and all Internet blogs, bulletin boards and social media sites to which you may belong.
